Greek Malls

There are a lot of modern shopping mall-type structures going up in the metropolitan parts of Greece. Here are a couple of things that I noticed at Mediterranean Cosmos in Thessaloniki that you might not see at American malls:
 Large Church in the mall courtyard
 Food court is massive – 39 fast food / restaurant / bar / food shop options.
 Mall doors are open passed midnight so people can window shop late into the night on their way to the movie theatre.
 Coffee shops all around the entire mall.
 Speakers throughout the mall parking lot.
 Everyone dressed like they are going “out on the town”.
 People can smoke (as long as it’s not in a store or movie theatre)
 The employees seem to be happy to have that job.
